The hydra is a three-headed water monster from Greek and Roman mythology. In our case here, however, the three heads of the beast are not crack-toothed grimaces but represent the collaboration of three breweries and the hop varieties that the respective brewers brought into play.
The brewers from Tanker , Myrrys Ferments and the Totenhopfen Brauhaus have come together for Three Hopped Hydra. With combined forces they have created a new mythical creature that will turn your head with three kinds of hops and a wonderfully dry fruit character. The rich India Pale Ale comes with a palatable 5.0% alcohol content and is the color of sun-dried straw in the glass. A crown of dense-pored foam sits enthroned on the naturally cloudy body, which smells tempting of golden mango and exotic passion fruit. The initial taste follows the olfactory first impression, but surprises with its dry aroma. Large fruity notes meet a crisp bitterness and a wonderfully velvety mouthfeel. The fine tongue tastes a variety of tangy citrus notes, juicy mango, passion fruit and aromatic green hops. The creamy beer enjoyment leads to a dry finish that stays on the tongue for a long time with tart notes of pink grapefruit.
