It's no secret that behind most successful men there are great women. And there is also a woman at the beginning of the Yankee & Kraut success story. Bryan's mother herself was the first beer supplier in his then young life. She satisfied her beer-mad son's curiosity for beer with new types of beer when he was still a teenager, and in doing so raised a virtuoso brewer whose first taproom was his own childhood bedroom. At the age of seventeen, Bryan was already brewing his own beer - and serving it from the specially constructed tap system in his room. The origin of a passion that would not only shape Bryan's enjoyment of beer but also his professional future and took him to Germany. There, the beer-mad Bryan met Max, who was also beer-mad, and the rest is legend.
It is well known that the best ideas come over a cozy beer, and that is what happened to Bryan and Max, who came up with the brilliant idea of opening their own craft beer brewery during a tour of a monastery brewery. No sooner said than done: Bryan enrolls at university to become a professional brewer and immediately puts his brewing skills to the test in a university innovation competition. With his fancy IPL, an India Pale Lager, he wants to add a speciality to the German beer market. This plan is a success: Bryan takes third place and his winning beer, Hopulenz, is the foundation for their own label, Yankee & Kraut. Today, Max and Bryan, as gypsy brewers, brew extremely good craft beers such as Dry Humor , their Pale Ale Eden , and the divine IPA Octo No 2. Max and Bryan combine the best beer brewing skills from their home countries. Innovation meets tradition, quality meets variety, and the result is a beer that both Germans and Americans enjoy drinking. Cheers to this unusual union of countries!
