Even if the Kundmüller brewery was recently named German Craft Brewery of the Year 2020, the Weiher brewers do not only know how to produce excellent craft beers. In addition to the award-winning specialty beers, there is a whole range of exceptionally good classics in the range.
Proof is, among other things, the Weiherer Pils, which not only tastes good to us, but also to the jury of countless renowned competitions. The Franconian Pils has caused a stir internationally, but despite all the hustle and bustle, it has remained unpretentious and down-to-earth.
The Weiherer Pils flows into the glass in a shiny and sunny yellow. A crown of snow-white, airy foam piles up on the golden splendor. A tempting bouquet of hops tickles the olfactory nerves and invites you to take a first sip with hoppy sirens. The initial taste is sparkling, fresh and tingling. The hops dominate the drinking pleasure and caress the palate with aromas of lemon zest, freshly cut herbs, spicy hay, summer meadow and grass. The malt adds soft notes of freshly baked baguette, honey and caramel.
The finish is dry and tastes fine of pine resin and subtle fruit.
The Pils from Kundmüller is a finely balanced pils with taste and strength.
