Among the highly decorated beers of the award-winning Kundmüller Brewery, the Urstöffla is an absolute winner: The dark has won more than five prestigious awards in international competitions. The golden boy therefore fits perfectly into the range of the brewery, which was recently named the German Craft Brewery of the Year 2020. The Weiherer beers are a real success story and also really delicious!
The Urstöffla is special even for the Kundmüller’s extraordinary range: It is made with electricity that is generated in the brewery’s own solar cells and is also organic. In this case, this means that both the hops and the malt used come from organic farming. The real hit, however, is the taste.
The strong dark comes in a rich chestnut brown and is adorned with a crown of slightly tinted, creamy foam. A tempting scent of freshly baked bread, roasted malt, creamy caramel and raisins rises from the fine foam. The initial taste presents a full-bodied taste with a soft texture and a pleasant taste. The strong roasted malt caresses the palate with notes of melt-in-the-mouth caramel, roasted nuts and chestnuts. A touch of honey and a fine bitterness give the Urstöffla that certain something. The finish is short and crisp and so good that you want to drink another bottle straight away.
