Wonderful Weiherer Weizenbock.
As part of their special brew, the Kundmüller brewery has created a fantastic Weizenbock, which stands out clearly from conventional Weizenbock thanks to its complexity and multi-layered flavor nuances. Five different, hand-picked special malts and the hop varieties Hallertauer Gold, Mandarina Bavaria, Polaris,spalter Select and Cascade bring a full-bodied depth to the beer and conjure up a taste that impresses.
The Weizenbock flows into the glass in a strong, chestnut brown amber tone and is crowned by a slightly tinted, creamy foam. A picture of a wheat. A fine scent of ripe banana, juicy orange and tangy lemon rises from the beige fluff to the nose and combines with a hint of caramel malt and a spicy yeast note to form a seductive mixture. The initial taste reveals a full-bodied beer with an elegant body and a surprising freshness. The classic flavor of banana is definitely there, but it’s complemented by a tropical hint of nectarine and pineapple. The malt forms a soft base that delights with caramel and grain notes. The beer plays silkily around the palate with fruit, malt and spice. A fine bitterness rounds off the aromatics. The finish is crispy bitter and beautifully spicy at the same time. The delicate tongue tastes yeast, nutmeg and clove.
