Because two deer are definitely better than one, Hirschbräu introduced the double deer some time ago. A light and a dark beer have already appeared under this label, and now a tasty Weizenbock is to follow. The brew is flavored with selected types of malt and is classic, down-to-earth and easy to drink.
The Doppel-Hirsch Weizenbock is an excellent representative of its style and is already visually pleasing: the naturally cloudy copper-gold with the dense-pored, ivory-colored head immediately catches the eye. Its fruity and malty scent promises an intense and round taste. The initial taste reveals sun-ripened cereals and oven-fresh biscuits, accompanied by banana and spicy yeast. In further enjoyment, there are also fruity echoes that crown the taste experience. The full-bodied character of the double deer wheat bock and its non-slip, creamy texture make it a real treat for the palate. With an alcohol content of 6.5%, this Bock is a strong beer that can also convince lovers of milder beers. All in all, the Sud is a tasty and at the same time refreshing beer that is perfect for a cozy evening in good company.
Fresh asparagus goes wonderfully with the Weizenbock. We prefer the classic version with hollandaise sauce, fresh parsley and ham, but an asparagus quiche, tagliatelle with asparagus in cream sauce or an asparagus salad also complement the beer well.
