Heavy metal and beer have always had a special connection, Robinsons Trooper is the sum of sheer awesomeness and a creation of hops, malt and metal.

After Motörhead, the legendary band Iron Maiden now also has a beer. The brewers at Robinsons Brewery have teamed up with Bruce Dickinson from the band Iron Maiden to create a beer inspired by the great song “Charge of the Light Brigade”.

The three fantastic hop varieties Goldings, Bobek and Cascade give the beer a wide range of fresh citrus notes, and the malt forms a stable base.

Iron Maiden's Trooper flows into the glass in a clear, transparent amber gold and shimmers in a magnificent copper tone. A stream of fine beads continually flies from the glass bottom to the surface and makes the small, beige foam layer dance. The classic scent of a typical English ale is accompanied by fine notes of buttery caramel, fresh citrus fruits and fragrant hay. On the tongue, the Trooper is incredibly smooth and light-footed. Aromas of spicy yeast, buttered toast, freshly mown grass and bitter hops unfold on a lightly roasted, caramel base of full-bodied malt. Juicy notes of fresh citrus fruits permeate the drinking experience and give the beer additional lightness.

Trooper is a delicately balanced ale that not only tastes good when you listen to the hard sounds of Iron Maiden.
