The Trumer private brewery has developed a scale for its beers that classifies drinkability between the poles of “tipping” and “sipping”. Brew pieces that fall into the fag half are drinkable, uncomplicated, thirst-quenching brews that do not pose any major challenges for the connoisseur. The other half of the line represents more sophisticated beers that bring more revolutions and greater complexity to the glass. These brews are multi-layered masterpieces that you shouldn't just drink from the bottle, but pour into a glass and enjoy with a little peace and attention. The Obertrumer Original is a Märzen gusset that is on the tipping side but has a slight tendency to sip.
The barley used was grown by regional organic farmers and gives the beer a robust malt richness. The Obertrumer Original is brewed according to a traditional recipe and flows into the glass the color of liquid sunshine. A fluffy head of foam in off-white sits enthroned on the gently clouded body. The initial taste is full-bodied and refreshing at the same time: soft malt ensures a stable body and a mild sweetness, while the subtle hops ensure freshness and a harmonious bitterness. Strong yeast notes give the beer a wonderful spiciness and perfectly round off the play of aromas.
The label is a homage to the good old days and was designed in the seventies.
