Pivovar Zichovec knows that you need strong nerves and even stronger beer at Christmas. That’s why the Czech brewery is at our side at Christmas parties with talkative colleagues and karaoke, family affairs with a tense atmosphere and the annual gift marathon on the 23rd with itspowerful Christmas IPA Ježišek .
But Christmas also has a gentle side: when the snow falls from the sky in thick flakes and wraps the world in festive silence, when cheerful bells ring in Christmas Eve, when fairy lights illuminate the bitterly cold night, when choir songs blow through the city center or when it the whole house smells of freshly baked cookies. For these magical moments, the brewery has come up with a more delicate brew. Maly Jezisek 10 is a session IPA that is stylistically based on the India Pale Ales of the American West Coast and, with a tame 4.1% alcohol content, is one of the milder of its kind.
The brew was flavored with the New Zealand hop varieties Nectaron, Nelson Sauvin and Riwaka and, in addition to exuberant citrus notes, brings a crisp bitterness to the glass. The taste is made up of mandarin, lemon, orange zest, grapefruit, pine resin and herbal notes and leads to a hoppy finish that lingers on the tongue for a long time with its fruity bitterness.
