There is a wonderful autumn tradition in the Browar Pinta: every year the brewers bring out their well-known and popular Dyniamit. The seasonal autumn beer is based on the American pumpkin ale and, with its spicy character, fits perfectly into the colder half of the year.
In order to brew a pumpkin beer that really lives up to its name, the Polish brewers first made a whole bunch of pumpkins. In fact, several hundred kilos of pumpkin are needed to make Dyniamit. The autumn giants are peeled and baked before being added to the mash. But not only pumpkin finds its way into the cauldron, a large amount of hops and a variety of different spices are also used. Ginger, cinnamon and clove harmonize wonderfully with the creamy sweetness of the pumpkin and make Dyniamit an autumn festival beer.
The result of the pumpkin break is an amber-colored beer that glows a strong pumpkin orange when the light falls. A small crown of white foam sits enthroned on the cloudy beer and gives off a delicately spicy scent of freshly baked pumpkin bread. The taste test presents a balanced beer with a medium body and pleasant carbon dioxide. Soft notes of creamy caramel, warm spices and bread dough caress the palate. The pumpkin is unmistakably there, but remains discreetly in the background. Rather, Dyniamit tastes like a symphony of autumn aromas.
