The recipe for the original drink from Kaiser goes back to the year the brewery was founded. At that time the brewery was opened to supply the residents of the local castle with the finest beer, today we and you also benefit from their art of brewing. Kaiser’s range is consistently traditional: Pils, wheat, bock and festival beers are on offer and the Urtrunk is also a classic. The old Franconian cellar beer is still brewed according to a recipe handed down from the 18th century and is served in the summer months between May and October. The brew is a dark lager that presents itself as a coppery shimmering maroon with natural cloudiness. In addition to magnificent red gold and an ivory-colored foam head, the creation brings 4.9% alcohol content into the glass.
The pleasure of beer begins with a spicy scent composed of freshly baked bread, strong roasted malt and caramelized nuts. The first drink follows suit and tickles the taste buds with mild malt and a hint of sourdough. As the drinking pleasure continues, roasted aromas, a honey-like sweetness, roasted hazelnuts and creamy toffee are added. Hints of grassy hops and delicate citrus complete the taste profile. The crowning glory is a dry, malty finish with a subtle bitterness.
The original drink from Kaiser is a subtly balanced, tasty beer treat.
