Franconia is a region that attracts with numerous attractions. The landscape alternates between golden cornfields, lush meadows, dense forests and hills with rugged rocks. Miles of hiking and biking trails meander through nature. Streams and rivers meander through the country and lead not only to wonderfully cold, clear water but also to shimmering trout and crayfish. Lakes dot the terrain and there are idyllic little towns and picturesque half-timbered towns with a medieval core here and there. The real highlight, however, is the Franconian culture of enjoyment, which you can experience in restaurants and pubs, cafés, beer gardens and in the cellars. The Franconian attitude to life includes generous portions of hearty food and a cool beer.
The Franconian country beer from Günther tastes perfect with liver dumpling soup, sausage with music, blue tip or donuts. With its dark lager, the brewery from Burgkunstadt provides an aromatic accompaniment to Franconian cuisine.
The down-to-earth beer flows into the glass in deep brown mahogany and is adorned with an off-white foam crown. A sensuous bouquet of roasted malt, fine dark chocolate, creamy caramel, freshly brewed coffee and red berries characterize both the scent and the taste. The latter is finely rounded off by a hint of gingerbread spice and a hoppy bitterness.
