The brewers of the Belgian brewery St. Feuillien pulled out all the stops for their Cuvée de Noël: they selected the best and most exquisite types of malt by hand, brewed them with care and allowed the creation to mature for a particularly long time at the end of the process. The beer that comes out is worth every effort.
Your Cuvée de Noël flows into the glass in a ruby red shimmering chestnut brown and is crowned with a lavish amount of ivory-colored foam. An intense smell of roasted malt, toffee, candied red fruits and Christmas spices rises from the firm, densely pored crown and arouses anticipation for the first sip. St. Feuillien’s creation differs from other festival beers as soon as you drink it: instead of the usual powerful sweetness and the usual malt abundance, their cuvée plays fine herbal notes that taste of laurel, among other things. This woody aroma is joined by roasted components, warm spices, tenderly melting caramel and a hint of liquorice. A hoppy bitterness and a heavy 9.0% alcohol content complete the enjoyment.
If you are looking for a strong Christmas beer without the overwhelming sweetness, this is the place for you! Thanks to its full-bodied spiciness and subtle hints of herbs, Cuvée de Noël goes wonderfully with the festive Advent kitchen and complements cookies, stollen and gingerbread with its crisp bitterness and fine roasted aromas.
