The world-famous Irish brewery Guiness not only produces the dark beauty of the same name, but also a delicious Irish red ale.

Kilkenny was originally brewed in Kilkenny, Ireland. The monks of St. Francis Abbey were responsible for the delicious amber ale. Today the beer is brewed in the St. James Gate Brewery, which is part of the Guinness Empire. It is no longer monks swinging the mash paddle, but professional master brewers. And a lot has happened in the brewery too: The St. James Brewery is one of the most modern brewing systems in Ireland and sells beer all over the world.

And even if the brewers and the brewing process have changed, one thing has always remained the same - Kilkenny is brewed according to a tried and tested recipe and has retained its Irish character and the malty aroma. The classic ale flows into the glass in a strong chestnut brown and shimmers splendidly copper when the light falls. A fine-pored crown of slightly tinted foam crowns the beer and invites you to take the first sip with its tempting scent. The initial taste reveals a slim body with an incomparably creamy mouthfeel. Powerful malt tones caress the palate with notes of melt-in-the-mouth caramel, roasted nuts, fruity sweetness, sun-dried grain and a hint of vanilla and oak.

The creamy consistency and the full-bodied malt taste make Kilkenny a true beer enjoyment!
