The summer solstice is a legendary day in the calendar year. From the beginning of mankind, the longest day of the year has been celebrated with exuberant festivities and rituals. In Ireland, Midsummer is called "Summer Solstice" and it is celebrated with a campfire, beer and stories. All over the country, people gather around the crackling flames, drink beer specially brewed for the occasion and tell each other legends about the shortest night of the year.
Irish brewery Brehon is proud of its roots and nurtures the traditions of its homeland with care and passion. Just in time for the summer solstice in 2021, the brewers have come up with a very special beer: Bright and Light is an extremely drinkable Session IPA, which, with its pleasant 3.5% alcohol content, is one of the light-footed examples among the India Pale Ales. The feather-light beer is brewed with the Saaz and Magnum hops and scores with its slim body, mild character and unbeatable drinkability.
Brehon’s summer beer flows out of the can in a warm amber tone and is crowned with a large amount of dense foam. Fragrance and taste present a finely balanced mixture of hops and malt. Bright and Light is a refreshing beer with a low alcohol content and a wonderful variety of hops, which, in addition to juicy fruit notes, also has a fruity acidity and freshness.
