A special feature of the beers from Anderson’s is their closure: In addition to the classic crown cap, there is a wax seal on the neck of the bottle, which provides additional sealing and an elegant look. In the case of Black to Basics, behind the wax seal is a barrel-aged imperial stout with an incredible 13.5% alcohol content and a deep black soul. The wooden barrels for maturation come from the United States and previously housed whiskey from the Heaven Hill distillery. The largest family-run distillery in the world has been run by the Shapira family for generations and is known for its excellent spirits. A crowd favorite, their Heaven Hill Bourbon Whiskey has a flavor profile that ranges from warm vanilla notes to honey to hints of caramel and oak. This delicious variety is passed on one-to-one to the beer and makes Black to Basics a balanced delicacy for special moments.
