A classic with a new twist.
Salto Orale from Emma - beers without a beard is a beer-like feat that inspires with a full-bodied aroma, a velvety soft mouthfeel and a strong roasted character.
Now Almut Zinn, the woman behind the beers, has decided to give her audience favorite a little bit more. To put the culinary crown on the already delicious Imperial Stout, Almut has teamed up with the Clauss winery team. The brewer contributes the beer, the winery delivers barrique barrels that were previously used to store fine Pinot Noir. If you combine these two instances, you get a barrel-aged beer that makes your mouth water. The aromatic wooden barrel gives the flavorful beer finely spicy notes of dark cherry, wine-soaked wood and delicate vanilla - an absolute match with the chocolatey character of Salto Orale.
The barrique version of Salto Orale is a harmonious brew with sensual aromas and a full-bodied taste that caresses the palate with notes of melt-in-the-mouth chocolate, homemade cherry jam, spicy liquorice, creamy caramel and fragrant wood. The barrel-aged Imperial Stout from Emma - beers without a beard is a powerful beer specialty that tastes especially good in the cold season and, thanks to its balanced sweetness, can be served wonderfully as a dessert.
